Conversation Designer

**Description**

**Position Overview:**

We’re partnering with a remote-based company that's seeking a Conversation Designer to join their innovative team. As a Conversation Designer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and effective dialogues for AI-driven chatbots and virtual assistants. Your role will involve understanding user intent, creating conversational flows, and ensuring a seamless user experience that delights our clients' customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and build high quality chatbot experiences that drive outcomes your customers love.

  • Use a conversational marketing framework to create chatbot ‘playbooks’ aligned to buyer intent, page-based strategies, and personalized experiences for target accounts, industries, and return visitors.

  • Drive these conversational experiences from concepts and flow charts to conversational dialogue for chat to launch.

  • Present and solicit feedback from stakeholders on conversation and flow designs

  • Configure bot flow designs and all other settings including visitor targeting, contact attributes, lead tagging, and routing.

  • Conduct testing to ensure bot flows are optimized for the best possible user experience and messaging is free from any spelling and grammatical errors.

  • Use reporting tools and conversation analysis to identify trends and make recommendations to optimize bot flows and improve performance.

  • Participate in customer calls to uncover goals, confirm strategy, provide updates, present bot flow designs, and review results.

  • Collaborate with team members to improve overall chatbot development, document best practices, research, test, and implement new strategies.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • You have strong conversational writing skills and are adept at using language that is compelling, highly engaging, concise, and friendly to guide a user through a digital experience

  • A polished communicator who can present to any audience, build rapport, and foster collaboration

  • Naturally curious with strong investigation skills to understand customer needs

  • A natural project coordinator with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and outstanding organizational skills to support multiple customer accounts and competing priorities

  • You lean towards action and constant productivity, and take satisfaction knowing you consistently deliver value

  • Able to think strategically while also remaining detail-oriented when reviewing chat implementations and bot designs

  • Work effectively under pressure, adapt and accommodate changing priorities, and deliver quality solutions under tight deadlines

  • You understand performance metrics and can analyze reports to identify actionable insights and drive new opportunities

  • Most importantly you have ‘smarts’ and learn fast, with the ability to work independently to achieve company goals and customer objectives

  • You enjoy working with a team of passionate people and can add both energy and positivity to the company culture

**What we're looking for**

We’re looking for unwavering drive. We’ll consider candidates who may not have direct conversational marketing experience but are self-motivated with the baseline skills to learn fast, problem-solve, and raise their hand when they need support.

- Experience in conversation optimization and design and chatbot dialog flows

- Experience creating workflows and personalized experiences that are optimized for conversion

- Experience in customer-facing roles developing presentations, communicating results, and implementing feedback

- Excellent planning and organization skills with experience managing multiple accounts in a high-paced environment

- Formatting ability in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

- Solid working knowledge of communication and collaboration tools (Google Drive, Slack, Asana, Zoom, Teams)

- Basic understanding of marketing and sales funnels

- Experience with Conversational Marketing and Chat platforms (Drift, HubSpot, Intercom) and exposure to Marketing Automation (Marketo, Pardot) and CRM tools (Salesforce) is an asset
